The Are You Kidding Cake with a pudding-cake kind of consistency. This cake is so moist it really doesn’t need any frosting. But if you want, you can make either a simple glaze, or a pudding/whipped topping frosting (recipes follow).
Simple Cake Glaze:
1/3 cup stick margarine or butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1½ teaspoons vanilla
2 to 4 tablespoons water
Melt margarine in a saucepan. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and mix until smooth and of desired consistency (a thick syrup).
Drizzle over cooled cake.
Pudding and Whipped Topping Frosting:
1 box of pudding, any flavor
Milk to make the pudding
1 (8-ounce) tub of whipped topping, thawed
Make the pudding as directed on the box. Chill in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
Mix the entire tub of whipped topping into the pudding. Spread on the cooled cake.
Refrigerate cake.
