INGREDIENTS:
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs (beaten)
FROSTING:
1 box powdered sugar
1 stick butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. cocoa
2 c. walnuts or pecans
3-5 tbsp. water if necessary
INSTRUCTIONS:
Bring water, butter and shortening to boil.
Pour over dry ingredients, mix well.
Add vanilla and eggs. Mix well. Pour into 10x15x1 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Prepare frosting and frost cake while cake is hot.
