Loretta Lynn’s Gooey Cake
When you hear the name Loretta Lynn, most people think of country music. Well, a lot of the country music singers can also cook! Here is one of my favorites from Loretta. Try it, you are sure to love it!
Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) boxes German chocolate cake mix
1 1/4 cups water ( or as called for in the directions)
3 eggs ( or as called for in the directions)
1/2 cup oil ( or as called for in the directions)
1 cup Cool Whip
3 Heath candy bars, frozen
1 (14 ounce) cans sweetened condensed milk
8 ounces caramel topping
Directions:
Prepare and bake cake according to package directions,
Using a 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
While warm, poke holes halfway into cake about 1 inch apart.
Pour sweetened condensed milk into holes.
Pour caramel topping over entire cake and chill in the refrigerator.
When cake is cool, top it with Cool Whip and crushed Heath candy.
Refrigerate overnight before serving.
