Yes, He will be with you always… no matter how difficult life seems!
There comes a time in your life that you need to make some changes so that you can move on. Yes, it’s hard to burn the bridges of life, but sometimes it is necessary.
After a few weeks of serious thoughts and prayer on this subject, I realized that I need to burn some bridges. This has not been an easy choice for me, but I know it’s time.
It’s been a long, hard year for me, but time has shown me many things. One of my favorite hymns, ‘Just a Closer Walk With Thee’, always reminds me… that though I am weak, I am strong in the Lord.
Just as Jesus never leaves us, ‘true’ friends don’t either, yet I have felt so alone this past year.
Yes, there are times when we experience one situation right after another that do not feel so pleasant. Situations and pressures of life that seem to pop up, one right after the other one is over, causing us to feel as though we are being crushed by them. Curve balls that appear to keep on coming, causing us to feel confused as to which way to turn.
Times when the saints of old declare that ‘if it aint one thing it is another”!
Now the Apostle Paul himself says there are times in life where the pressures of life have worked us out to the point where we do not know what to pray. [I’ve certainly been there too!]
Paul says we are hard pressed on every side, troubled and oppressed, we suffer and sometimes feel that there is no way of escaping, but we are not in despair. We are persecuted, but not left to stand alone. We are struck down to the ground it seems at times, but we are never struck out and destroyed.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9-We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed.
Regardless of the pain or pressures in life, God’s Word declares that He is with us always, even unto the end.
Matthew 28:20 – I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
This is not only a promise of God’s ever presence with His people, it is one that He will always fulfill, regardless of where we may find ourselves in life.
In other words, Jesus is saying “don’t worry, I got your back! I will be there with you.”
God promises never to leave me nor forsake me. Close your eyes and say that to yourself a few times until you begin to feel God’s presence with you. Oh, what a indescribable feeling!
Here is another one of God’s promises to you today. Let’s listen to Joshua 1:5 – No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.
We should all rest in the promise of God today in knowing that He will be with us always, even unto the end of the age. There is never a time when He is not present with us.Scripture declares in Psalm 34:15 – The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.
The key to survival in the midst of tests and trials is to not fix your eyes on what you see, but to fix your eyes on God. Keep God in your view!
2 Corinthians 4:18 – So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Again, like Apostle Paul, we too must speak these faith filled words in times when we too feel pressed, crushed, perplexed, persecuted or struck down.
These words must be our words of declaration in the midst of the test. “Yet in all these things, I are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus”!
Remain steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain.
Pay day is coming after while! So… Hold on! Help is on the way! Look up! Get up! Hook Up With God!
And if you need to burn some bridges to move on… then burn them!
Forgiveness is the cleansing fire that burns away old regrets and resentments. So burning that old bridge and moving forward with my life… whatever it might be! Trusting in my Lord!
Hebrews 13:2 – Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
2 Corinthians 5:10 – For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad…
