2 cups light cream
8 1/2 oz applesauce
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp apple pie spice
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rice
Butter or margarine
Apple pie spice, optional
Sugar, optional


In saucepan combine cream, apple sauce, raisins, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp apple pie spice, and salt.
Bring to boiling, stir in rice. Cover; simmer 10 minutes or till water is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
Spoon into dessert dishes. Dot with butter or margarine.
Sprinkle with a mixture of apple pie spice and sugar, if desired.
