INGREDIENTS:
4 eggs
2 lb. candied cherries
2 lb. candied pineapple
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 lb. white raisins
6 c. pecans, broken
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. soda
1 stick butter
1 c. whiskey or brandy
4 c. flour
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
STEP BY STEP:
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time beating each time.
Add brandy and milk.
Sift all dry ingredients and add to mixed fruit and nuts which have been cut up and dredge in 1/2 cup flour.
This flour is extra.
Add to mixture.
Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 300 degrees for about 20 minutes. Check.
Cook until bottom of cookies is brown.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
